Gelato

Have you ever been to an Italian gelateria or an ice cream parlor? We did visit a fabulous place in San Gimignano, Italy and they had the best ice-cream..not just in our opinion;) but they had the diploma of making the worlds best ice-cream. I haven't forgotten the lovely swirls and the pale colors I love so much and it was also so nicely displayed on the counter. It was absolutely a feast for the eyes. I have tried to recreate the memory from that holiday and made my version of a gelateria in miniature. Maybe someone will "adopt" it while I am in Paris..You never know..If not I will put it on Etsy:)

  22. Thank you so much for your very nice comments. I appreciate each and every one of them:)
Reiko: I made the ice-cream using a mold that I made from silicon. I used a pastry tip to make the swirls.
