Igma Artisan

I am happy to announce that I am now an Igma artisan in the category of food. These are the pieces sent for judging. I will hopefully continue to grow as an artist and I do find it very inspirational. Today I will celebrate for sure:)

Thank you so much to the Igma committee for giving me this recognition.  Thank you to Sp miniatures for the accessories to complement my work. I also give thanks to those of you that have helped me along the way not giving up and you cheerful emails and comments on my blog:)

I failed again...

Yes I did! Second time around trying to get the artisan status at Igma. I first thought that I would just hide, stick my head in the sand or whatever, and not blog about my failure. I have come to think otherwise. I will like to show you, not so I can get your pity and hear oh but you are so good but I see a point in not only sharing the golden moments, but also the ones that is not so pleasant but are with me to make me be the artist I am and makes me do the decisions I do. Next time is November 2010 and I will try again!

Lol this was fun:) I didn't know what to find. It's an old picture from one of my dollhouse bathrooms. The folder dated back to 2002.

IGMA.....

My pictures of my Igma attempts this spring. It didn't work out very well and I have been sad about it to be true. I didn't get the title of Igma artisan this time. Here is some of the critique I got: The cheesecake looked dirty,(I think it is the way a "carmelisation" happen) and the fruit was floating in the air. The olives were to big (I can agree on that one..lol Linda;) The tomato didn't look correct! The leaf on the celery wasn't good enough. Oh well a bit true, but come on!!..The piping bag looked like a "blop" and the accessories wasn't good enough here. The fish was a bit undefined, and they diden't like my lemon. I cant remember anything bad about the bread..Though they did say that they liked my cupcakes. Thank heavens;)
