Macaron tutorial

Macarons
Macarons molds are now available in my Etsy store. Make your own super cute macarons. Its very easy to make and so addictive.
I have made a quick tutorial that shows how I make my macarons. See step by step below.

You will need:
A flexible mold that withstand the heat from oven. Buy it here: Macaron mold
You will also need some polymer clay. Colors like white, red and green are good choices. You will also need translucent clay.
A sharp blade, a tile to bake on and an oven.

Mix the clay approximately 60% white and 38% translucent and 2% red or green.
Put the clay in the mold. Press clay inside. Cut away the excess clay with a sharpe blade.
Carefully remove the macaron out of the mold. Take a small needle and make some holes around the macaron just to make it look a bit more authentic.
Make several of these and bake them flat on a tile for ten minutes.

Use the clay for macaron base and add extra white and translucent to make it a lighter shade for the filling. You can also make the filling in a stronger color but then you need to add more of the base color and some translucent.
Put a small amount as seen in photo on one side of the macaron. Flat it a bit with your finger an then take the other half and press it together. Bake it for about 10 to 15 minutes.
Simple, and very effective.

                  mac4

                  mac3

                 mac2

                  mac1

                  mac7

                  mac6

                                    mac8

                                   mac5

See how cute they look when finished.

Now lets make some more macarons. I hope you enjoyed this tutorial.
