Macaroons

Before I started making macaroons in miniature I thought that it would be fairly easy. That has proven to be very wrong! I have been trying several methods and think now I am somewhat pleased with the design. I haven been inspired from the famous Laduree designs both in colors of macaroons and boxes. Of course now I have endless designs spinning in my head:) I will eventually put some of these on Etsy:) Hope you like them. I am looking forward to buy some real salted caramel macaroons when visiting Paris in January, and framboise and lemon..oh the list is long you see;)
Weekend already!! Have a nice one:)

Update: Last picture shows 6 in one box. Witch is the correct number at least for Laduree style that I am trying to copy;) Thank you Papillon Bleu for pointing that out:) I just had to make them a bit slimmer! It still can be improved on for sure. Now I lost some of the frill! I will take better pictures when there is light oustide.

Christel- these are amazing! So pretty- I have never had a macaroon and if they taste anything like what they look like they must be heaven. I received my dvd and wanted to say thank you! I have not had a lot of time to post to the blog or play with minis lately, but when I get to I will be sure to post my creations and mention you :) Hope you have a wonderful weekend!

They are awesome Christel! Now you've made me crave some! I always treat myself to some when visiting my daughter in London, but I have to say that the Maison du Chocolat's macarons are soooo much better than Laduree's...they have CHOCOLATE ganache in them too.....simply heaven!! Fab work! Mini hugs, Linda

My favourites are the rose macaroons from Ladurée!!!isn't the minimum 6 in a box?
Never mind whether 6 or 4 your miniatures are just lovely.

Ooh wauw... Love macaroons, with that tender not to soft inside combined with its pouderish crisp. If you can, Kim, try to get some!
Not these though, via Etsy, I am not sure how polyclay tastes, but nothing like the above. And... they are WAY to beatyful to eat!

So so so lovely Christel. I love these. The boxes are so perfect and so are the cookies. I have had these kind a couple times and they didn't last long. No matter how I tried to leave some for later I just couldn't Lol
Love seeing your work.It is really something to be proud of. Hugs~ Kim

As always.
But the boxes, where you get it? Wonderful.

I made the boxes:)..with a bit of help from daughter..okay and husband;)It is a pain to print as it has to be done on both sides of paper. And a tiny movement and the design is off!
Lol you are funny Debora:)

I've only ever had homemade macaroons. Which I assure you don't look, nor probably taste, like the ones you are talking about. Your minis and your description make me wish I could have one right now! They look simple divine!
